Some Tirana Dudes

So this one dude pictured first below saw me taking pictures and then he asked me to photograph him and his friends, who are selling fruit. And then the kid wanted to take pictures of me, with his cell phone camera so I let him. We even took some pictures together with his cell phone [...]

Express Way to Mount Dajti

The travel buddies name is Rhea, and we rode the Dajti Express, to be whisked away 1300 m above sea level, to Mount Dajti, where there is snow! Magical times. Ate some fruit salad and drank some wine at the one place up there.

Food in Albania

I didn’t have too much Albanian food when I was in Tirana. One night I had this amazing meal that I didn’t take a picture of, but it was at a middle eastern restaurant and I got an antipasti type of platter but it had 3 different salads like tabbouleh, fattoush, this other salad with [...]

Tirana, Albania

I rode an overnight bus from Ioannina to Tirana, and it was a grueling drive. But on the bus, I sat next to this guy, and he didn’t speak an English, but he was nice and offered me some water and chewing gum. The drive was real pretty though, lots of green mountains or hills. [...]

Final Greek Dinner

My last Greek meal was this yummy salad and some batter-fried red peppers stuffed with feta.

Halloween in February

I guess this is when the Greeks celebrate… I was not in the spirit too much. This party was at the university, kind of reminded me of some high school dance that I missed out on. The DJs were DJing with winamp and the songs were not crossfaded in anyway. There was a lot of [...]

Ioannina, Greece

Making my way to Albania, I stopped in the town of Ioannina in northern Greece for a couple of nights. It’s kind of a college town nowadays (i think 20% of the population attends the university there), and I stayed with a nice college girl. They have a lake, a modern town and a fortified [...]

Goodbye Athens!

My days in Athens are over. I ate a lot of croquettes and spanakopita, hung out with an awesome Finnish dude a few nights (who is friends of Max McCauley’s), and just kind of wandered around a good deal. I checked out some of the goth nights they have, which seemed to be more like [...]

Delphi, the Center of the Universe

Had another little road trip away from Athens with Ada, visited Delphi. The main part of it was closed, so didn’t get to see the theatre. We trespassed into the main closed part but we were caught very shortly after. Oh well! The trespassing was fun.

Cape Sounion and Poseidon’s Temple

Ada in Athens drove me to Cape Sounion to visit Poseidon’s Temple. We saw the sunset. It was breathtaking!
